If your washing machine stops midway through a programme, it could be due to one of the following reasons:

The washing machine is not filling with water/not draining

Check that your washing machine is able to receive a cold water supply and that the cold water fill hose is not kinked or blocked.

Check that your washing machine is able to drain water away and that the waste water hose is not kinked or blocked.

The washing machine is overheating

If the washing machine stops a programme during the wash cycle when the water should be heated up to the programme temperature, it may have detected that the water is overheating and this is normally accompanied by the displaying of an error code.

The washing machine is not heating the water

If the washing machine stops during approximately the first 30 minutes of a programme, it may have detected that the water is not being heated up sufficiently or at all, and this is normally accompanied by the displaying of an error code.

The washing machine has detected a leak

Your washing machine may abort a programme if it detects a leak as a safety precaution.
