If the buttons on your induction hob’s control panel is unresponsive, here are some simple checks you can carry out at home to identify what could be causing this:

Check that the child lock has been deactivated

If your induction hob is unresponsive, but there is power going to it, you might have accidentally switched on the safety child lock. To deactivate it, simply press down on the key symbol for 3 to 4 seconds depending on the model of your appliance. If your appliance does not have a key symbol we recommend checking through the appliance’s instruction manualfor more information.

Wet Surface or Dirt Buildup

If your induction hob buttons aren't responding, it could be due to dirt or residue buildup. Additionally, if the surface or your hands are wet, the hob may not register contact properly. Ensure you use the appliance with dry hands and on a clean, dry surface. Promptly cleaning any spills can help maintain proper functionality.

If the issue persists, we advise against attempting repairs yourself. Instead, book a repair with one of our highly trained and qualified Bosch engineers.
