If your dishwasher is not filling with water, don’t panic. This is a common fault that can be fixed easily. We recommend trying to troubleshoot the problem by following the information provided below.

Water supply

Check if the dishwasher water supply valve is switched on before proceeding. It is easy to forget to switch it on, especially after coming back from a holiday. Be sure to also inspect for any visible damage.

Kinked or blocked hose

Inspect the dishwasher hose and untwist any visible kinks or bends. Also ensure that the waste water hose is not blocked by removing the waste water hose from the siphon connection, putting the end of the hose in a bucket and selecting the drain programme. If there is a blockage, water will not fill, or struggle to fill the bucket. If a blockage is found, clean the waste water hose and siphon.

Low water pressure

Check the water pressure directly from the tap using a bucket. Approximately 10 litres of water per minute should flow out of the tap when fully open. Contact your fitter if the water pressure is too low.

Filter blockage

If the filter is blocked with food remnants or other objects, the dishwasher will not drain the water from the previous cycle, which will prevent it from refilling. Ensure that the filter is unblocked before proceeding.
