Fridge Condensation

Condensation forming inside/outside fridge compartment?

Is condensation in the fridge normal?

Yes, small amount of condensation is part of the cooling process. As the fridge cools, the air inside becomes cooler and can no longer hold as much moisture. As a result, the excess moisture will condense on the walls of the fridge. But rest assured, once the temperature in the fridge stabilizes, the condensation should disappear.

If condensation forms, you can simply sponge it off with a dry towel. Please refer to the self-help video below for additional assistance.

If you're noticing frequent condensation forming both inside and outside your fridge, it's likely due to rapid temperature fluctuations and high humidity levels. This can result from the following factors:

  • • Frequent opening and closing of the fridge
  • • Damaged seals or gaskets
  • • Overloading
  • • Improper storage of items

To prevent these issues, please ensure the following:

  • • Install fridge in a location with a cool ambient temperature, low humidity, good ventilation and away from direct sunlight
  • • Minimize the frequency of opening the fridge door
  • • Ensure a tight seal to prevent warm, moist air from entering
  • • Properly store items, allowing them to cool before placing them in the fridge
  • • Avoid overloading to maintain even cooling and reduce moisture levels

Following these steps will help mitigate condensation and keep your fridge functioning optimally. If this does not do the trick, then please contact Bosch Customer Care for fast, reliable assistance.
