How do I install my washing machine?

You can install a freestanding washing machine at home by following the simple steps below.

Please refer to your appliance's instruction manual for model-specific instructions.

• Carefully remove all transit bolts (usually located at the back of the machine).
• These are used to protect the drum during transport.
• Replace the bolts with the blanking caps provided.

• Connect the cold water inlet hose to your cold water tap.
• Connect the waste water hose to either:

- A standpipe, or

- A waste connection under the sink.

• Make sure there are no kinks or tight bends in either pipe to avoid blockages or leaks.

• Plug the appliance into a standard wall socket.
• Use a spirit level to ensure the machine is sitting level on the floor.

- Adjust the feet by turning them to raise or lower each corner as needed.

• Switch the appliance on.
• Run a rinse or quick wash programme (without detergent or laundry) to:

- Check the water supply and drainage,

- Ensure there are no leaks.

• Once confirmed, carefully slide the appliance into its final position.
