Firsts with many products
Bosch has scored ‘first’ with many of its products – the first hand-held vacuum cleaner with lightweight plastic casing in 1961, the first electronic washer-dryer with dialogue system and the first vacuum cleaner worldwide with automatic suction regulation in 1980.
Bosch has won several prestigious awards, including the Utopia Award 2010 for its Zeolite dishwasher, which consumes 30% less electricity than the most energy efficient dishwashers to date.
In 2010, Bosch dryers were recognized as Singapore’s “Most Energy Efficient” by the National Environmental Agency (NEA) in its annual ‘10% Energy Challenge’. Bosch washing machines were accredited the Superbrand status in 2011, establishing it as Singapore’s favourite in an independent survey by the Nielsen Company.
The company’s latest innovation, the Bosch iDOS EcoLogix-x 8 washing machine, with its automatic dosing system, is the only washing machine that has been awarded by the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) with the ECARF Seal of Quality that is suitable for allergy sufferers. Over the past 15 years Bosch has ushered in a new era in energy and water saving products and continues to challenge itself to reach even greater heights in energy efficiency and resource conservation.
