1. New appliance: Rub the cold surface with a cloth or paper towl soaked with a small amount of oil evenly in the direction of the grain

2. Used appliance: Pre-wash with hot water and a small amount of hand wash liquid detergent, or by applying cleaning powder (311774). Then use as described above

3. Allow the oil to act for a short time before wiping away any residual oil with a lint free cloth or kitchen paper to polish
